The sealed bottle contained a piece of paper
Whistling, Rupert came up the trail which came up from the the river. “We will have some fresh fish for supper,” showing off his fish. And look, what I found, a message in a bottle." The sealed bottle contained a piece of paper, rolled up.
“I can not eat fish, I can only eat things with sugar in it.”
On my journey here
“All right then," smiling at her. "You look mighty fine to me now after your long sleep. I've got sugar in the cupboard if you need some.”
“Thank you, but I drank clover nectar, from the flowers in the meadow over there. The big rabbit did not seem very friendly to me.”
“Ya, they always think they can have a free lunch, eat all my vegetables. Useless bunch of critters.”
“On my journey here I met some incredibly nice rabbits, they are not all like those.”
“No, they are not. Come, let us see, what we have in this bottle.” He now unfurled the rolled up paper. It said:
All of them were stunned
All of them were stunned. Tutu Girl for being so close again. Rupert for hearing from the love of his life and Quilt just about this enormous coincidence. They sat silently for a long while. It had occurred to Tutu that Rupert had a telephone. He didn't.
“I think, I have to drive to the store. Come with me, Tutu?”
“Of course I would like to, I feel fine now, I feel actually great!”
They drove off, leaving Quilt to his quiet time.
